Museum Art Security Alarm System Integrates Gallery Temperature and Humidity Alerts

Written by Sample HubSpot User | June 24, 2020

Art Sentry seeks to be a comprehensive solution to protect and preserve your valuable collection pieces. For this reason, we offer temperature and humidity sensors which can be integrated into the Art Sentry system.

These sensors continuously monitor your environment.  When an alarm threshold is crossed, the Art Sentry system sends an alert. Both lower and upper limits can be set for each individual sensor to protect your collection from damage caused by poor environmental conditions. A historical record of these environmental readings is saved and can be accessed in numeric or graphical format.

There are multiple notification methods that can be customized for each specific sensor. Notification can be sent to the Art Sentry alarm console screen in the security control room, as well as, automatically sent via text or emailed to predefined destinations.

Art Sentry’s temperature and humidity sensors free staff from continually taking and tracking temperatures manually. It can also serve as a backup layer to a museum’s automated environmental monitoring system or for additional monitoring of art storage. Additionally, the environmental monitoring capability is invaluable in situations where the museum is closed, and personnel may not notice drastic changes in conditions. This is especially useful during times of prolonged shutdown, such as the current COVID-19 crisis.

Environmental monitoring is just another way that Art Sentry fulfills its mission to help cultural properties Guard the World’s Treasures. If you would like to learn more about our security systems for art, see how it works or contact us for more information.
