Art Sentry didn’t originally set out to be a leader in museum security systems. In fact, we can trace our roots to an engineering firm that was started in 1991, which became Acuity-vct in 2002. Our security sensors for artwork and antiques were initially developed to solve a critical issue faced by a museum customer.
Since 2005, we have been proudly guarding the world’s treasures in museums and cultural properties. We remain true to the original philosophy of solving our customers' most critical issues as the basis for security system enhancements and modifications for protecting artwork and period pieces.
Today, the security system for artwork and historical objects has evolved and we continue to work collaboratively with our museum and cultural property customers to solve their unique challenges. Currently, we protect the collections for over 25% of the top museums in the United States with a combined asset value in the hundreds of billions of dollars.
